Where It All Began
It was the late 1970’s on a small site in James Street, Waitara NSW where Heydon Harvey and his wife Marilyn opened their first smash repairs. With a background in mechanical engineering and a passion for automobiles, Heydon was determined to offer premium vehicle repair services. The motto from the outset; ‘Do it right. First time, every time’.
As a result of his attention to detail and tireless dedication, the business swiftly earned a reputation for quality and integrity within the automotive community and soon outgrew its humble site. Subsequently, they made the pivotal leap to a larger premises at Chilvers Road, Thornleigh.

The Move To Qld
In 1989, Heydon and Marilyn set their sights on the Gold Coast, affectionately dubbed by Heydon as ‘God’s Country’. Their arrival didn’t go unnoticed; soon, they became fixtures in the industry. With Glenn, their son, joining the family business, their passion for the industry only intensified, ushering in fresh ideas and a drive for modernization. Later, Marilyn passed the torch to their daughter, Rebecca. Together, they upheld a standard of service synonymous with excellence, earning a reputation amount the elite marques and motor vehicle dealerships. Their approach was steeped in old-school craftsmanship and unwavering customer dedication, a tradition not just taught, but lived and passed down. After establishing three thriving locations, Lawrence Drive, Jay Gee Court (purpose-built) and Sierra Place (purpose-built), Heydon and Marilyn decided to retire in 2011, selling the business on the heels of their illustrious legacy.

The Next Chapter
Fast forwards to 2024, Glenn Harvey and his wife Jen identified a gap in the market. Amidst a landscape dominated by large conglomerates and public companies, there was a glaring absence of personalized care and commitment to quality. It was a moment ripe for the resurgence of family-owned businesses. With a rare blend of experience and managerial prowess in the auto body trade, Glenn stood out as a respected figure, both within the industry and the wider community.
Remaining true to the foundational values instilled by his parents - quality, integrity and customer satisfaction - Glenn and his team uphold a legacy. Embedded in their work ethos is the timeless family motto; ‘Do it right, first time, every time’. In fact you will see the original sign still proudly adorning the wall from when Heydon and Marilyn built the current facility back in 1993.
